It is bitumen based caulking compound which is used for filling cracks and holes where the black colour of the filler is not a matter. Titefill is made out of high melting bitumen and fibrous fillers to a hard paste consistency for ease of application. Once dried and hardened, Titefill inherently acts as a water barrier. Hence it is extensively used on wooden planks joints in the hulls of boats to fill the gaps so as to prevent the ingress of water inside the boats. For application convenience, it can be applied by gloved hands and after application gloves/hands can be cleaned using kerosene oil followed by soap washing. After application, it takes a 24 – 48 hours to set hard. It is available in 5Kg & 900gms plastic jars.
